Typeface in use:
Ray Larabie’s (TYPODERMIC) narrow, grotesque, versatile and striking headline faces »Gnuolane« and »Gnuolane Jump«.
Gnuolane is a serious headline font in five weights. While it borrows from 19th Century grotesque models, it possesses a superelliptical sixties sneer. Gnuolane includes old-style numerals, ordinals, superiors, inferiors, f-ligatures and class-based kerning.
I created this lettering to be printed on my black T-shirts. Hopefully summer will come soon.

One of the tigers of the zoo of Zürich jumping to catch a piece of meat hung on a rope. The keepers often chose this method, so that they have some fun and ‘sport’ before eating, and it’s kind of rewarding.
It’s nice to see how their bodies are long (in this position, tigers are almost three meters tall).
I just wish that shot was better framed…

Two things I hate, above all others:
1) Tidying up
2) Bloody irritating songs off the TV, which get in your head and stick fast–only you don’t know the words, so you’ve got to improvise.
Combine the two, and you get:
Augh! Fwoosh! Hate! Myyyyy…Swiffer brings all the suds to the yard–hell, yeah! It’s better than yours. Myyyyy…Swiffer brings all the suds to the yard! Faugh! Dirt! It’s cleaner than yours.
I’ll never get my floor (or my brain) clean, again. This is the worst. The absolute pits! Horrible!

UNDERWARE »Bello Pro« ❣ No Lingerie (for widescreen displays)

This wallpaper is the result of foolin’ around with »Bello Pro« on a cold, gray winter day. »Bello«—the name of an »Underware« typeface—is the italian word for »beautiful«. »Underware« is the brand name of an outstanding Dutch type foundry.
Typeface in use:
Bas Jacobs, Akiem Helmling and Sami Kortemäki’s (Underware) brush-drawn, fashionable, lively script face »Bello Pro«.
Bello is a brush typeface for headline point sizes – it’s big & beautiful. Bello has lots of ligatures and start and ending swashes. They are automatic in Bello Pro, which is a cross-platform OpenType font with many OpenType features.
After a period of hand sketching and lettering, we decided to give Bello two main styles: script and small caps. These two fonts create a strong typographic contrast – while Bello Script is flourished and flowing, Bello Small Caps are upright and sturdy. As sturdy as brush lettering allows for, of course.
Careful spacing and kerning ensures that Bello appears like fluently written handwriting. However, that’s not enough for a hand-lettered feel. Therefore Bello comes with a set of 64 ligatures. Some of them are typographic, some made simply to create a more intimate, natural impression. For the same reasons we have added a few ornaments and a set of snap-on beginning and ending swashes which attach to the lowercase letters of Bello.

Note the distortion in the lower left-hand corner of this shot–it’s because my camera has water in it. Why does my camera have water in it? Because babysitting stinks. I started the day with four birds, a tidy flat, and a fully-functional camera. Now, I’m shy a bird, the entire kitchen reeks of warm soy milk, and my camera’s spitting out distorted images. (Of course, five hours ago, it wouldn’t switch on at all, so I ought to be counting my blessings.)
