Failure to provide car registration?

Question by Snowboard_360: Failure to provide car registration?
I was just pulled over for speeding, and I realized that I forgot to put my new registration in the car. So I provided the police officer and older copy of the registration. He wrote up a ticket indicating I did not provide registration and a speed ticket. If my car was registered, can I provide that in court and have them dismiss the ticket?
Also, this is in New Jersey.

Thanks,
Mike
I have insurance, but I forgot about my registration card. Can that get dropped as well?

the “no proof of insurance” part will be dropped if you show up with proof of insurance.
    not the speeding part.
