Why does the Disney Channel always try to convince kids they are “special”?

Question by Jared Friedman: Why does the Disney Channel always try to convince kids they are “special”?
It’s socially irresponsible. Nothing wrong with trying to instill confidence in young people. But the message they seem to be driving home is “you’re special, you’re exceptional, and simply trying half-*** is good enough.” Then you wonder why so many kids once they leave high school get a really rude awakening when they go to college or go out into the real world. I’ve personally seen it with some of my own relatives. So why does Disney do it?

    It is brain washing.
And they aren’t just messing with their minds to convince them they are special, they are trying to brainwash them to be liberal as well. They kids are special alright, so special they are going to end up in Special Ed Class.

These are the types of kids that are going to bring granny’s pistol to school.

Each of us is unique. We are all special in some ways.

That being said, Disney is a business conglomerate that needs children watching its
t.v. programing and films. Flattering the audience is “de riguer”.

    (That’s French for absolutely necessary.)

I don’t know- all I know is Disney these days is fake, artificial, corny and washed up. The Disney that had That’s So Raven, Zack and Cody, and much more- THAT was real quality- not the fake ass shit they have on these days- its torturous.

Got something to say? Go for it!
