    says:

Most extended warranties that are available after 100,000 miles are limited to powertrain coverage only. This includes coverage for all the sealed components within the transaxle, transmission and engine; however nothing that works with or is connected to these major systems.

Be sure to check out the BBB rating (A or above) of both the warranty administrator and insurer; plus with whom you are purchasing the extended service contract from. Also, check out the AM Best rating (Excellent only) of the warranty insurer (underwriter).

Never provide a form of payment till you have researched the companies and their products. Be sure to review the actual terms of the agreement, specifically the “What is covered” and What is NOT covered” sections of the agreement. Make sure you are comfortable with both.

Most aftermarket extended warranties are a waste of your money.
