    It’s not the usual testimony.

Although I was brought up in a Christian home, there were some big problems and this resulted in me having much fear which resulted in me making decisions on the basis of fear much of the time. My mom used to tell about people who jumped out of the frying pan into the fire, and that is exactly what happend to me. I married someone with bad character who was like the devil sitting in the midst of our family destroying it. However, I had the spiritual breakthrough I needed when I had the opportunity to go to a Bible Study which was like Bible school. I can hardly type this. The first day of the Bible Study, my whole life changed. The Word of God came alive to me. It would take a book to explain everything basically. I had previously said the sinner’s prayer (This happened when I was 12) but there was nothing going on for me spiritually. But this is what I desperately needed. when I was 27. The Bible study went on for 5 years and changed locations twice for me. During this time I really came alive in the spirit when I discovered that God hadn’t forgotten about me after all. When I was 33, I received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. This computer is hardly working so hard to type. So, I’ll just leave it at that for now. Praise God for all He has done! Thanks.

I got saved watching the 700 Club on tv back in the 70′s. My son was a baby. I had been raised in a denominational church that never talked about being born again, or that I needed to be born again. Glad I found out what it meant. smiles
He took my feet out of the miry clay and put my feet on dry land. My life while I had my ups and downs (as the Lord Jesus told us we would have tribulation but to be of good cheer because He has overcome the world) He has always seen me through each thing I had to to through. He did not take me out of it, but He never left my side. Jesus is Lord of my life.
I am so thankful that my name is written in the Lambs book of Life.

    thanks Sis for asking me.

I have been a Christian all my life, but then i felt my calling to missions. This changed everything. All i want to do is go on Missions Trips to various places. Then a loved one was diagnosed with severe cancer and died a few days later due to it being spread everywhere. I am now finding peace about everything and loving God more than ever. I am going to continue living for God and I will stumble time after time but i know that He is going to be there to pick me up again.

    Confirmation was my testimony.

For today, the Lord was good enough to give me lots of energy to get tiresome chores done at home. Any housewife knows what a burden it is to fall back on household chores, and sometimes you feel so tired you don’t know how you’ll finish them all. Well, I prayed for strength this morning, got everything done and feel wonderfully rested still. Praised be His name! ;)

He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock and established my goings.

Here is my testimony in short..
I was like most normal people growing up.. Aside from the usual family issues I.e. Alcoholic father, older sister beats the crap out of you when your parents aren’t home etc… This among the other things that plague America. I was quite normal.. It eventually changed in my teen years.. I got into drugs and alcohol. Pretty soon before I knew it I was using a variety of drugs from meth to cocaine and so on… It got to the point where I was selling drugs and hanging out with some very bad people. I In short, I had a drug overdose when I was with my bestfriend. I was as good as dead. There was no way I should have survived.. The only thing I remember was asking for help.. I can almost feel it now, it was as if the life was pushed back into my body..there are may times in which I had wished myself to die. I was severly depressed. I would take a whole Bottle of vicodin or oxycodone(usually stolen) at once, usually I wouldn’t feel ant thing but numbness.
There are many things that would include me in the “convicted felons” category despite me never going to jail, I have come close. When I should have it seems that the police were somehow pacified.. I am lucky.. It took a while for me to change but I can recall turning down the drugs for the last time.. I told the guy that I just wanted to be his friend… He got mad and left. That is the moment I made my decision for God and he entered into me.. For those who don’t know what it is like it was more than heavenly.. It was as if I was with Jesus, living IN eternity.. There was nothing like it.. I still hold it as a major turning point in my life.
For Jesus saith unto them “they that are whole have no need of a physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” (Mark 2:17)
“There was a certain creditor who had two debtors: the one owed 500 pence, and the other 50. And when they had nothing to pay he frankly forgave them both. Tel me therefore, which of them will love him most?” (Luke 7:41,42)
This being the reason that I love the Lord so much for what he has done for me. I’m sure many others who have lived Hell, or even created Hell for others feel the same way when their sins have been forgiven them..
“Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is Covered.”(Psalm 32:1)

  9. Ezekiel says:

Yes, God did a miracle when he saved a wretch like me.
