Question by : Chevy lamina 93 where is the valve cover?
I have a 93′ chevy lumina, lack of oil in the engine and my father thinks I have might have blown a rod?((whatever that is))
So, he wants my husband to take off the “valve cover”, My husband admits that he ain’t mechenically inclined. Looking at the engine what side and exactly where would it be located?

if he dont know what a valve cover is take it to a garage and have it fixed. lack of oil will break a rod or anything that needs to be lubricated.Get some books on maintenance of cars and learn the basics ond check the oil.add oil if nessesary
considering the complex nature of these cars, the best thing I can say is if he does not know what a valve cover is, He probably should not attempt to remove it.
i own a repair shop, and on the very top of the engine,on each side there will be two covers each of them have 4 bolts on the top that holds them on,those are the valve covers there the only covers that will be alike on it but there is two of them, good luck,i hope this help,s.
