Question by annanymos: What is a good sports car for a 16 year old male?
I am 16 and I wanna buy a sports car. My budget is about 7000-10000. I want something that looks good and sounds good, and that is good. Also I want to consider insurance. I have great grades so I will get a discount there and also I will be under my parents. Please don’t answer “don’t get a sports car if you are worried about insurance.” Thanks.
Oh and also consider that I am 6’5″ tall. I need some leg room and also I don’t like the whole Asian rice rocket. I like more of a muscle type.

Lots and lots of ass holes on Yahoo Answers, let me tell ya. I’m 19 and plan on purchasing a second car here in a few months. I dont care a whole lot for big v8 muscle cars, and I prefer tuners. I currently have an 07 Eclipse…and you can get a 4g Eclipse for around 11-14k depending where you live. I know thats over your price, but they look great, and I havent had a problem with mine. Or if you want to play with it, 1g or 2g eclipse GSX. They are AWD and factory turbo. Should be able to find for less than 8000. My second car will probably be a 300zx or a 3000gt, not sure yet. But you could look at Sentra SE-R Spec V, Lancers [8g or 9g], used 350z [I'm guessing you can find them for 10k or less], older BMW 3 series, Acura RSX, Lexus is300, Celica’s, and MR2′s are just a few that I can think of off the top of my head. Just make sure it is something that you like and not what everyone else likes. Like me, I don’t care much for Honda’s…but I would definitely take a new Civic Si or S2000 over a new Mustang anyday [unless it was a cobra].
Isn’t finding a good sports car that’s not a “rice rocket” or import kind of oxymoronic. Good luck finding a domestic muscle car that is still a good car.

You are 16 the last thing you need is a sports car. Here’s what will happen if you get one. You’ll go out one night feel the need to prove to some girl or some other idiot how bad@ss your ride is (or how small your cock is) and do something dumb. You’ll wrap the car around a tree, or wreck some other car, people will die……. All because at 16 you don’t have the mental ability or the driving skills to be out in a high performance sports car.
All right, best car to get is an LS1 Trans Am, from there, maybe a mustang, but you’d be much happier with a Trans Am. They’re very roomy, sound badass, and are the quickest for your money. You should be easily able to fine one in this economy in your price range. Checkout LS1tech.com.
