I take it to mean that a feeling makes you feel like you’re in love but it is more temporary, shallow, in passing, a deep crush, a feeling that isn’t going to last. Problem is, it feels like love. Hard to say, no, I’m just infatuated. Only time can really tell, or that little voice inside of all of us. Sometimes bad relationships are built only on infatuation and are tough to sustain because the initial feeling goes away and there’s not much underneath.
it’s puppy-love for adults. all aflutter and excited about the person on a superficial level. then it leaves just as intensely. love really is caring more about the other person than about yourself, accepting their weakness and strengths equally and being strong when they need it, and stepping back when they need to lead – and they do the same thing for you; no imbalance in commitment and respect.
being infatuated measn putting that person on a pedestal wihtout recognizing that person is just another human like you…Love takes time..you accept the flaws of your partner and accept her the way she is…Love can take years to happen. Infatutation usually happens in split second.
