Q&A: Will Insurers Remain In the Health Insurance Business?

Question by cargo pilot: Will Insurers Remain In the Health Insurance Business?
Since health insurance isn’t really insurance anymore, that is, a product you buy to protect you from something happening, I don’t see insurance companies choosing to remain in that market. Health “insurance” will soon be something you can buy to pay for an event that has already happened, or in other words, a utility.

Why would a company want to remain in the health “insurance” market, after all the changes take effect?
Won’t the new law in fact, ensure that companies that insure will leave the business and all health care will become completely a function of government?

No they will not. The cost of premiums will rise to a level in which people will not be able to keep their coverages and need to try to enroll in the government’s plan. With no one buying their coverage it cannot afford to continue in business. Insurance is one great big Ponzi Scheme anyway.

Its obvious to many people that the desired effect of this disastrous bill is to lead to single payer health insurance. Several democrats have been recorded saying that. This administration is completely comfortable with collapsing our economy to fulfill his desire to transform the US into Mexico.
