Question by Sabrina: How do I get a good Scottish accent?
In my GT English class, we’re reading MacBeth. For our recitations, which are to be presented in class on or by Friday,January 13th, 2013, we are expected to memorize our selected piece and present it to the class “using [our] best Scottish accent[s]” and to “dress the part for extra credit.” I have selected the reading of Lady Macbeth’s letter for my recitation. I don’t know what to wear either. Thank you!

Even trained actors, working with voice coaches, can seldom do a decent Scottish accent. It’s one of the hardest accents to do well.
Also, there’s so many different accents and dialects in Scotland. If I travelled less than an hour from Glasgow, the accent would be totally different.
Watch a Billy Connelly DVD…that’s a pretty good Glaswegian accent. lol
Wear a white dress with a tartan sash across one shoulder.
