How can our brain picture images?

Question by Gucci G: How can our brain picture images?
Something that I was wondering is how we “See” inside our head. At any given time, we can “picture” something in our head. We see the same, colors, we can visualize the movements, but the difference is that we still SEE the outside. I dont just mean in dreams – I can kind of get that – but seeing inside our head is weird. It is like another sense. How can we see two things at once? ?

What do you think? Answer below!

Your question is about pyschology and the answer is very complicated. Read the article about dreams for some “light” reading.

The brain is an amazing place, capable of un-explained feats and mundane tasks while still controlling life and death on a second to second basis. There are zillions of electrical connections between the cells, that is why we can think of things while still processing in-coming data from the world surrounding us. All sorts of very smart people make their life’s work trying to understand the human brain. A lot is added to the knowledge pool daily, papers published in medical journals for the scientific community. Later these filter down to the masses in magazines and text books. Do you expect any sort of reasonable, accurate, detailed answer here on Y!A? The working of the brain is an infinite study. I am interested in it as well, both biologically and in the abstract thought sense. There are lots of resources, start by Google-ing and you will have reading for the rest of your life!
